Mothman was last seen November 15th, 1966 by Linda Scarberry, Steve and Mary Mallette while driving down Route 62 near an abandoned National Guard Armory beside a power plant in Point Pleasant West Virginia.
Somehow, siting’s have began again in the state of Kentucky in the small rail-road town known as Gravel Switch when Terry Coldwell was setting up a deer stand on his uncles farm. Coldwell states that he heard singing and shouting and was pretty upset that someone would trespass on his uncles property without first gaining permission. When Coldwell got closer he realized there were tons of people trespassing and states that there were at least 30 people gathered singing praise in what he thought was a Satanic church due to the participants dressed in black clothing/robes. Coldwell quickly hid and was not sure if he was in any danger but considering they were trespassing on private property he made haste and hid in a creek bed. Covered in mud, Coldwell laid in the creek bed for over 3 hours until the cult left and could hear a small petite woman’s voice screaming “PRAISE MOTHMAN”.
Confused, Coldwell ran home and alerted Boyle County and Marion County authorities as he presented a video he had taken from the creek bed and came to the conclusion that it was a cult who worshipped Mothman.
